Cheri and I spent saturday at the Great GA Airshow in Peachtree City, GA. Had some good glass with us so we could get up close and personal as they flew by. This image is of an F18 on the edge of the sound barier. The sonic boom was a second or 2 after this photo was taken.

A REAL VACATION!!!
Cheri and I have not been on vacation that has not been "convention" related in a long time. SO, when the idea of going Yellowstone was brought up, there was no way we were going to pass the opportunity up.

I've been on the road for almost 15 days straight so this post is a little late.
Late July, I went to the EAA Airventure show in Oshkosh WI. It was 8 LONG days but we squeezed in some fun- more pics after the jump.
"Dawn Patrol" at EAA
Cheri and I are headed to Yellowstone for a week in August, so we have been trying to get back into hiking shape. We drove up to Kennesaw MTN national park to do some hill work, however mother nature had other plans...park a thunderstorm right on top of the mountain. We thought it had moved on and got .2 of a mile up and BOOM, more thunder and lightning...back down the mountain for us....
The day was not lost, there was a civil war artillery demonstration starting so I grabbed the 1D and ran over while Cheri tried to dry off in the car...it was still pouring buckets!
Here is one of the photos after final edit.
Cheri and I drove down to FL yesterday so we could witness in person a NASA Shuttle Launch. There are only someting like 10 or so launches of the shuttle left scheduled, so it was really cool to get the oppertunity to witness this in person.
It happens SO much faster than you think...

I dont think Cheri could wait this morning to give me a birthday present....so here it is...
Yep, live, in person (and wood) we get to see Jeff Dunham's Spark of Insanity tour June 4th at Cobb Energy Center here in ATL.
He's swave, he's the king (of the roost), he is in the building....its Earlvis!!!!!
While on a 3 city tour speaking to a group on new cameras, we were given the challenge of getting them involved with the presentation. While prepping the "giveaways" I found Earl in the back of my car...
history of Earl...Earl was given to me by a good friend in Minnesota. Everyone in the office had one of these dog toy rubber chickens, each one with a slightly unique personality. When we left MN, Earl stayed in my car in the trunk, and has been there since.
SO, we got this great idea...when the questions to the audience come up, instead of just calling on someone, we would toss Earl into the crowd to choose our candidate.
